Elvis Grandic, M.D.
Adult Reconstruction/Hip and Knee Replacement
Dr. Elvis Grandic is a fellowship trained specialist in minimal invasive hip and knee replacement. With a focus on soft tissue preservation and rapid recovery, he provides the latest state of the art hip and knee reconstructive surgery in the region. These include total and resurfacing hip replacements, total and partial knee replacements, and complex revision of total joint procedures.
Dr. Grandic received his Baccalaureate of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received his Medical Doctorate from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York where he graduated Cum Laude. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, an elite national medical honor society.
Dr. Grandic continued his medical training at Upstate Medical University completing his Orthopedic Residency under the guidance of one of the pioneers of joint replacement, Dr. David Murray. Dr. Grandic was awarded the prestigious Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the world renowned New England Baptist Hospital -- part of the Harvard care group in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Grandic offers compassionate care for all his patients individualizing treatment to fit the needs of each. He regularly treats patients with nonoperative, conservative treatment including physical therapy, bracing, medications, and injections. When all means are exhausted he discusses all surgical options. Dr Grandic believes in achieving maximum results through minimal invasiveness.
Dr. Elvis Grandic remains active in academic medicine. He lectures at local, regional, and national events. He continues as an educator through live surgical demonstrations and presentations.
Fluent in Croatian, Dr Grandic is an avid traveler and enjoys sailing, scuba diving, and baseball history.
